Our Bakery
As a Community-oriented bakery, we aim to provide you with a diverse line of quality breads and pastries. We use only the highest quality ingredients. From the basics – flour, water, salt and yeast – to special additions like whole grains, European butter, eggs, raisins, nuts, fresh fruit, herbs and olives, our products are all natural and made without preservatives or stabilizers.
Most of our breads are Naturally leavened with a sourdough starter. They are given a long, cool fermentation in order to develop flavor and texture. Some of our breads contain small amounts of commercial yeast and are “built” in stages to create layers of flavor.

Traditional braided Jewish egg bread. We make our weekend French toast with this 4.75-4.95
Ciabattas – Daily
A soft crusted free form Italian loaf with a light airy interior, coated with either flour or olive oil and salt. Our Olive Ciabatta is beautifully complimented by the addition of a variety of olives and herbs 1.95~5.05
Cinnamon Raisin Pan - Daily
Rich with raisins without being too sweet. This uses the same filling as our “almost world-famous” cinnamon rolls 5.20
Cranberry-Walnut – Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Full-bodied whole-wheat base that is dense with walnuts and dried cranberries. Sweetened with honey – a perfect partner to our Cranberry- Turkey Sandwich 4.95
Country Wheat – Monday, Wednesday, Friday
A light wheat bread with a mellow sour flavor 4.2
Herb Fougasse – Saturday
A fancy shaped country wheat that has been enhanced with rosemary, parsley and thyme 4.85

French-styled dark peasant sourdough, naturally fermented for a deep, complex flavor. Shaped into large loaves that keep very well 5.84
Medici Potato Buns – Daily
Our signature hamburger bun. Light and moist, yet substantial enough for our hearty burgers 1.45
Multigrain – Monday, Wednesday, Friday
A mild sourdough that supports the goodness of whole grains. We make it in many shapes and sizes with and without raisins. (the Multigrain with raisins was Hans’ absolute favorite) 5.45

A medium colored, hearty rye flavored with toasted caraway. Try it with onion – a natural partner 4.75
Semolina Ring – Daily
A closed textured Italian-style bread with a golden crust 4.20

Italian style semolina bread shaped in a torpedo with sesame seeds. Holds up perfectly to the tomato and pesto on the Medici grilled cheese sandwich 4.20
